Trump Vs. Biden

This is one of the most remarkable years of American history: there was a pandemic, civil unrest, and the year will conclude with the 46th presidential election of the United States. This presidential election will determine the fate of 330 million Americans for the next four years. Due to the pandemic, all American citizens, over the age of 18, will have an opportunity to vote through mail. The two main candidates for the 46th President of the United States Donald J Trump representing the Republican Party and Joseph R Biden Jr. representing the Democratic Party. Joe Biden served as the 47th Vice President of the United States under former president Barack Obama. According to the poll done by ABC News, 42% of the voters are supporting President Donald Trump whereas 52% of the voters are supporting Vice President Joe Biden. These results, however, can’t accurately predict the final outcome of the election as proven by the 2016 presidential election.

COVID-19

Both of the Candidates have very different views on all the issues facing our country. Both have very different views on the Pandemic. President Trump is urging people to wear masks, has stopped immigration to prevent the spread of the virus and wants people to go and vote personally, avoiding the mail in ballots. Vice president Joe Biden also wants people to wear masks, wants open immigration to restore the economy and thinks voting through mail would be a much better option. Both the candidates have criticized each other on multiple different occasions and on the Presidential Debate. President Trump praised the American people on multiple occasions on the handling of the Coronavirus disease. One such time he praised them was during the debate; he said, We had 10.4 million people in a four-month period that we’ve put back into the workforce. That’s a record the likes of which nobody’s ever seen before. Joe Biden, on the other hand, criticized Donald Trump on multiple occasions for not handling COVID-19 very well. One such time he condemned the president was during the debate; when he said, He panicked, or he just looked at the stock market — one of the two — because guess what: a lot of people died, and a lot more are gonna die unless he gets a lot smarter, a lot quicker.

Campaigning

To campaign for the presidential election, both of the candidates are using different strategies. Like in 2016, Trump is using his slogan Keep America Great to appeal to the American people. Many people also wear a Maga hat to symbolize their support for the President. Biden also has a slogan, “Restore The Soul of America Our best days still lie ahead This is America We are America, second to none Anything is possible No Malarkey! Build Back Better Unite for a Better America”. Vice president biden also uses the Black Lives Matter slogan to show his support for the civil rights movement and it has also become a part of his campaign. Vice President Biden also said las vidas mexicanas importan to appeal to the Mexican American population and إن شاء الله to appeal to the Muslim American populous.
